Indonesian officials say they have found 40 dead bodies, luggage, a plane door, and an emergency slide floating in the water off the coast of Borneo Island. 21-Year Old Boy Arrested For Stabbing Father To Death In Mile 2 Jakande estate, Lagos
The Lagos State Police Command has arrested 22-year-old Oluwaropo Tifase, for allegedly killing his father, Moses Tifase, in the Mile 2 area of the state.
Our correspondent learnt that Oluwaropo, who is the fifth child and only son of the family, had had clashes with his parents in the past over financial issues.
According to the police, Oluwaropo, a suspected cultist, was rusticated from a university in Ondo State, a few years ago for some cult-related offences.
PUNCH Metro gathered that 75-year-old Moses, a retired mechanical engineer, was stabbed to death in the neck with a pair of scissors.
The Tifases, who hail from Imesi Ile, Osun State, were living in an apartment in Block 285, Jakande Estate, Mile 2, Lagos.
It was learnt that Oluwaropo allegedly sneaked into his father’s bedroom to carry out the act on December 6.

AirAsia flight carrying 162 from Indonesia to Singapore goes missing, Wreckage' of jet spotted in sea by search plane
AirAsia flight QZ8501 departed Surabaya, in Indonesia, on Sunday at 5.30am local time, and was scheduled to land at Changi Airport, in Singapore, at 8.30am (Singapore local time).
However, it lost contact with air traffic control as it flew over Indonesia at about 6.16am local time, a short time after the pilot asked to deviate from the flight path due to 'bad weather'.
The scenes of anguish were reminiscent of those in March 2014, when Malaysia Airlines flight MH370 lost contact with air traffic control several hundred miles north of Singapore. No trace of the craft has been found and search has been called off due to bad idea....

Women Right Group Wants Justice After Detained Mom Dies At LUTH Because She Couldn’t Offset Her Bills
A women right group have asked LUTH to pay the family of a 35-year old woman and a mother of four who died in their custody, after she was treated and was fit to go home but was detained because she couldn’t pay her almost N1.5m medical bills. Her husband, a printer had earlier looked for N300,000 which he paid to the management and begged that he will further balance the rest at a certain period of time, but the hospital allegedly turned deaf ears to him and detained his wife, until she died on the 43rd day.

Turkish Assassin Who Shot Pope John Paul II Visits Grave With Flowers After 31 Years
Mehmet Ali Agca, the Turkish man who shot and injured former Pope, John Paul II in 1981 has laid flowers on the dead pontiff's tomb in the Vatican.
56-year-old Agca told the police he felt the need to make the gesture, according to a report by Italian media.
The visit comes 31 years after the late pope John Paul II visited Agca in prison and forgave him for the attempt on his life - shooting him twice at close range.

How did you get your first movie role?
It started after I had an interview with Yvonne Nelson on one of my TV programmes. We got along so well she invited me over to Ghana to act in her first self produced movie entitled Priceless. It was a wonderful experience and guess what; I got to act alongside Majid Michael and Yvonne Nelson. The movie was directed by Frank Rajah.
