The Entertainment Writers Association of Nigeria (EWAN) will host juju music icon, Otunba Sunday Adeniyi Adegeye popularly known as King Sunny Ade to a birthday bash come next month. Tagged: “An Evening with KSA”, the show, which is being held as part of the activities marking the musician’s 66th birthday, comes up on the Independence Day, Monday October, 1, 2012
. The event, which will take place at Premier Hotel, Ibadan, Oyo State, would feature King Sunny Ade on the bandstand. It will also parade friends of KSA like Admiral Dele Abiodun, KI de Ultimate, Femi Anikulapo Kuti, Osupa Saheed, Obesere, Pasuma, Ayo Balogun, Kollington Ayinla, Yinka Ayefele, Esther Igbekele, Earthquake, 9ice, Salawa Abeni, Femi Opalemo, Omo Olope and Olamide among others.
Mrs. Esther Ajayi, Managing Director, Premier Hotels, Ibadan, the host of the show, said it is a unique opportunity for the fans of King Sunny Ade to see him perform in the ancient city of Ibadan. “We are putting everything together in conjunction with the entertainment writers to host the best show ever this year,” she said.
