Popular Brazilian model and former Miss Bumbum contestant Andressa Urach is said to be fighting for her life the Conceicao Hospital in Porto Alegre, southern Brazil after a botched cosmetic surgery to increase her thigh and buttock.
The 27-year-old underwent a procedure which involves injections of two types of fillers – hydrogel and PMMA into the upper legs in order to inflate the thighs and bottom. But in July this year the products began to cause her leg muscles to rot. She was rushed to the hospital this Saturday, with an advanced infection of her left leg. Doctors says Ms Urach had gone into septic shock – a potentially deadly condition which causes multiple organ failure.
Miss Andressa was the first runner –up in Miss Bumbum 2012. She made headlines after she claimed she slept with Real footballer Cristiano Ronaldo.
